Pro Zelaya supporters streamed into the Nicaraguan town of Ocotal. They were taken in by the local government and stayed for some weeks as refugees. Eventualy they all left back to Honduras. A supporter of Zelaya is murdered in the border town of EL Paraiso. The mob is angry and march his body to the army roadblock and accused the government forces of murdering him. In the end the body is taken back to the capital to be buried.

IT has been a while since I posted some images. Things have become very busy for the last month in and out of the paper and it it not untill now that I got to post the images form Honduran President Mel Zelaya in Nicaragua. This is form his second trip to Nicaragua and his first to the border to Las Manos. HE breifly jumped the border line into Honduras and then back to safety on the Nicaraguan side.

Multicultural. Born in Costa Rica of German father and Colombian mother. Now I live in Nicaragua. I am a graduate of the William Allen White School of Journalism, in Lawrence Kansas, with a BS degree in Photojournalism, and a Masters degree in Image and Communication from Goldsmiths College, University of London. I have worked for AP, AFP, LA NACION in San Jose, Costa Rica, and LA PRENSA here in Managua, Nicaragua. Also I have published my own newspaper an English Language monthly in Managua. I am a history buff. I have taught AP Modern European History in one our local high schools. But photojournalism is my first love and still is.
